Major Update (1.2.0)
We've been pretty quiet the last few months, but rest assured we have been hard at work developing a massive update for Grip.
Firstly, we want to address the performance and optimisation of the game at launch...it didn't run well. Which is why it was our top priority for this new update. Although we are still pretty fresh out of university, making mistakes and learning as we go, we want to hold ourselves and our content to a higher and professional standard.
In the process of optimisation we have also done a lot of visual and mechanical updates.
The game's lighting has been given a huge upgrade with the environment, such as trees and foliage, now casting dynamic shadows. Our Lead Artist has done an incredible job creating a new pair of highly detailed hands, as well as some new architecture. There is now a dust and smoke particle effect when destructible rocks are smashed with the Launch ability, and the lanterns that guide you throughout the game now have a much more noticeable beam of light.
There is still more we want to implement into the game, and will continue to update it.
We want to thank everyone who has played Grip or supported us throughout development. We are very proud of what we have accomplished and cannot wait to create more experiences for you!
